Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Social Soirée Society. By placing a booking, hiring products or using our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. BOOKINGS & PAYMENTS

A 30% non-refundable booking fee is required to secure all bookings.

Bookings are not confirmed until the booking fee has been received.

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days prior to the event date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Bookings made within 7 days of the event date require full payment upfront.

Failure to make payment by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking.

All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are subject to change without notice.

2. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

All booking fees are strictly non-refundable.

If a booking is cancelled more than 21 days prior to the event date, payments made excluding the booking fee may be transferred to a future booking credit valid for 12 months.

Cancellations made within 21 days of the event date are non-refundable.

No refunds will be provided for:

  • Change of mind

  • Reduced guest numbers

  • Styling preference changes

  • Venue changes

  • Weather conditions

  • Failure to read item descriptions or measurements

Custom items including decals, signage and personalised products are non-refundable once production has commenced.

3. HIRE PERIOD

Standard hire period is 24 hours unless otherwise agreed.

All hired items must be returned in the same condition they were received.

Late returns may incur additional hire fees.

4. SECURITY BOND

Certain hire items require a refundable security bond.

Security bonds are refunded within 3 business days after all hire items have been returned and inspected.

Social Soirée Society reserves the right to retain part or all of the bond for:

  • Damage

  • Breakages

  • Missing items

  • Excessive cleaning

  • Incorrect packing

  • Misuse of hire items

If damages exceed the bond amount, the client agrees to pay all replacement or repair costs.

5. DELIVERY, SETUP & COLLECTION

Delivery, setup and pack down fees are location-based and quoted separately unless otherwise stated.

Bookings under $400 are pickup only from Redland Bay unless approved otherwise.

Clients are responsible for ensuring:

  • Safe and clear access to the setup area

  • Suitable setup space

  • Venue approval for all hired items

  • Access to power where required

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Stair access

  • Difficult venue access

  • Long walking distances

  • Delayed venue entry

  • Waiting times

All collection times must be adhered to unless otherwise arranged.

6. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

Responsibility for all hired items transfers to the client once items have been delivered, collected or setup has been completed.

Clients agree to:

  • Supervise children around hire items

  • Prevent misuse of hire items

  • Keep items protected from weather conditions

  • Avoid moving or dismantling installed structures

No items are to be altered, relocated or dismantled without prior approval from Social Soirée Society.

7. BALLOONS & STYLING DISCLAIMER

Balloons are temporary decorative items and may be affected by:

  • Heat

  • Wind

  • Rain

  • Sun exposure

  • Sharp surfaces

  • Children or pets

While professional-quality products and installation methods are used, Social Soirée Society cannot guarantee balloon longevity after setup completion.

Children must always be supervised around balloons and styling items due to choking hazards.

While every effort is made to recreate inspiration images and colour palettes as closely as possible, slight variations may occur due to product availability, lighting, seasonal florals and balloon manufacturing differences.

8. DAMAGE, LOSS & THEFT

Clients are fully responsible for hired items during the hire period.

Damaged, lost or stolen items will incur replacement charges at full retail value.

This includes damage caused by:

  • Guests

  • Children

  • Weather

  • Food or drink spills

  • Incorrect transport

  • Candles or open flames

9. WEATHER POLICY

Outdoor setups require a suitable undercover backup option.

Social Soirée Society reserves the right to refuse installation during unsafe weather conditions including heavy rain, storms or strong winds.

No refunds will be issued due to weather-related cancellations or changes.

10. FORCE MAJEURE

Social Soirée Society shall not be liable for delays, cancellations or inability to perform services due to circumstances beyond reasonable control including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather

  • Natural disasters

  • Accidents

  • Illness

  • Venue restrictions

  • Vehicle breakdowns

  • Power outages

  • Government restrictions

  • Emergencies

11. PHOTOGRAPHY & MARKETING

Social Soirée Society reserves the right to photograph and video setups for marketing, advertising, website and social media purposes unless requested otherwise in writing prior to the event.

12. WEBSITE & PRODUCT DISCLAIMER

Product colours, finishes and styling may appear differently depending on lighting, photography and screen settings.

Measurements listed on the website are approximate and may vary slightly.

Pricing, availability and product information are subject to change without notice.

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Social Soirée Society shall not be liable for:

  • Injury

  • Property damage

  • Loss

  • Delays

  • Accidents

  • Indirect or consequential damages

arising from the hire or use of our products and services.

14. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By placing a booking, making payment or hiring products from Social Soirée Society, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
